Testing Principle
The A1009 measures the time required for a fixed volume of petroleum liquid to flow through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer under gravity at a constant temperature. The measured flow time is then multiplied by the viscometer constant to obtain the kinematic viscosity value in mm²/s, fully compliant with ASTM D445 and ASTM D446 standard methods.
